Request for delayed shipping
I have a buyer that purchased an item, paid for it but left a message asking to delay
shipment because she would be out of town. I have a one day handling time and
packaged the item. Is there any reason why I can't hold the package for a few days
so she won't get it until she returns??

It is the buyer’s responsibility to figure this out. You have to ship within your stated handling time and are only required to prove it was delivered to her zip code.
This situation really gets my goat. Why do buyers do this?
Who goes away and doesn’t arrange for a neighbor or friend to take the mail in everyday.
She should contact the post office and ask them to hold all her mail until she gets back. It might even be possible to do it online. There is probably a charge, but that is not your problem.

OP3 years agoHello...
Thanks so much for your help. I agree...why wouldn't the buyer just wait
to order something until they return? Well - the package was delivered
on time and have not heard anything, so I'm guessing all is well!
Thanks for your time!
