Request for Authentication Certification Numbers
I recently purchased two trading cards that were authenticated through eBay’s Authenticity Guarantee. I’d like to obtain the certification numbers associated with these items. Could you please provide the authentication details or direct me to where I can locate them?

OP1 year agoThis has nothing to do with PSA. The question concerns eBay’s so-called “Authentication†program — a misguided, unnecessary initiative. I’m trying to obtain the certification numbers for items that eBay authenticated and then shipped to me. That’s it.
Now let’s be crystal clear:
Beckett Authentication Services does not recognize, endorse, or retain eBay’s authentication stickers. Once a card enters Beckett’s grading pipeline, its verdict — based on direct, forensic inspection — is the final and only authority.
If Beckett deems the item inauthentic:
There is no legal shield. No fallback. No excuse. Sellers who advertise “eBay authenticated†are not protected — not by policy, not by ignorance, and certainly not by that sticker. If you sell a fake, even unknowingly, you’re liable under consumer protection laws. And yes — buyers can dispute charges, demand refunds, and escalate formal complaints, using Beckett’s findings as credible, admissible evidence.
This isn’t a suggestion. It’s precedent.
If you deal in high-value collectibles, you are expected to authenticate through industry-respected channels. Beckett meets that standard. eBay’s stickers do not.
Protect your reputation — or prepare to lose it.

I knew that "Cert Verification" was on the list of options at PSA and I thought that would help. I didn't realize that you're not storing yours with the PSA Vault.
