Request for Account Reinstatement
Hello everyone,
My eBay seller account was recently restricted, and I received a message stating that the reason is related to my “Bad Buying Experience (BBE) rate. However, I’m really confused because since I started selling, I have never received any negative feedback from any buyer only positive feedback.
Yes, I admit that in the very beginning, I made a few small mistakes due to my lack of experience, but I’ve learned a lot since then and improved my selling practices.
I truly value my buyers and always try to provide the best service possible. I believe my restriction might have been too harsh, and I’m kindly asking for guidance on how to appeal this decision or what steps I can take to restore my selling privileges.
Any advice or support from the community would mean a lot.
Thank you all for your time and understanding!

Mentor10 months agoThe Bad Buyer Experience rating has nothing to do with your feedback received. eBay actually does not place any weight to your feedback received. What they look at the the BBE rate is the number of defects your account receives for a number of things. It looks at how many times you did not ship within your stated handling time, the number of cases opened against you that eBay had to help with and several other statistics. If you go to your seller hub you can click on "Dashboard" and you will see the defects used to determine your BBE.
Many newer seller will fall short on shipping within their stated handling time if they do not ship with a method that has tracking since eBay will not see the acceptance scan for the package.
