Report fraud email
Hi, I received an email saying the shipping for an item I purchased had been calculated wrong, and to click a link to correct the purchase. It was a fraudulent email because I logged onto my account no such message had been sent and my package was on the way. Is there somewhere to forward this email or does Ebay want to know about these things? And how did they know about the purchase in the first place? Glad I didn't click the link and pay the extra shipping.

Mentor2 years agoDid the email actually contain any information that connected the message to your purchase? Or did you just assume it was related because you received it after you placed an order?
Scammers send out thousands of identical blind messages each day, hoping that some users will click on the link and provide details the scammers can use for fraud.
Unless the message had your personal account information in it, there is little point in contacting eBay about it.
