Replying to a buyer
When i click "reply" in the ebay email, nothing happens.
I bought as a guest but now have an account and think that's causing an issue

Guest purchases are not connected to your eBay account, so you must first sign out of your current eBay account before using the link in the email you received from eBay.
If the link is not working at all, try another browser to rule out a browser issue.
