Remove pop up add for ebay app
I'm getting **bleep** tired of having to dismiss the add for the ebay app. I don't want that app.
I'm paying Ebay's excessive commission rates.
I think I should not have to mess with that add. I don't want it, so quit hitting me with it.
One more item that really burns me why are they allowed to add the sales tax in for the final value fees.
I don't think that is right, especially when the seller can not control this value and is based on the buyer's state.
I recently had a low value item with high shipping, I think Ebay's cut was around 31%.

OP8 months agoIt might be 13.6% if the buyer comes and picks it up. Even then its more than that cause they add the sales tax in and charge the 13.6% on the item + the sales tax. Take a close look to what they are actually charging you.
This is the way that it works-
Item amount
Shipping
Sales Tax (some states can be quite high)
----------------------------
Final amount
The 13.6% is charged off the final amount
It's a big rip off and they are pretty good at covering it up.
I don't like that they add the shipping in, but I can at least see why they would have to do that.
The sales tax getting added in is complete **bleep** though, anything to get that final value fee up.
Oh, then they slap that flat fee on top too, 40 cents or something like that.
Subtract all the fees from what the item sold for and you will see that its a lot higher on almost every item you sell.
