Remove an existing ad
I have a customer that’s requesting me to delete an ad of an item they purchased. I’m not sure if I can do this or it’s something on your end. Please let me know how are what I need to do to solve this issue. Thank you, Lisa Lirette

Mentor2 years agoNope, you can't do that. It is impossible, which is what you say to the buyer.

That won't remove the transaction from the buyer's Purchase History. Suggest the buyer use the Hide option in the More Actions dropdown.

The item in question was one I had paid to promote. The buyer wants the promoted ad removed my guess is so they can resell it at a higher price than they purchased it for. I would love to do that for them but I’m thinking that’s not possible on my end.

Mentor2 years agoLet the seller know that the listing will be removed once it has been 90 days since the listing sold.

Mentor2 years agoAre you saying you have an item for sale that you already sold? If so, click on the arrow next to the item and end listing. If this isn't it, give more details please. @softballcatcher95

OP2 years agoYes, The item sold in February. I’m guessing they want to resell the item at a higher price and don’t want a potential buyer to see what they paid for it. Honestly I don’t see the ad for it however I did see the identical dress from another seller at a cheaper price. I explained to them it may be something for them to contact eBay about. I deleted the saved listing but they want the ad I paid for to promote the said item removed. Thank you for all your help.
