Remote control hobby toys to the UK through eBay International
Trying to send a remote control airplane to UK through eBay International. The UK does not show up as a "ship to" country nor is it on the excluded list. Checked on USPS site for restricted items to the UK and RC items are not restricted. Why can't I ship this item to the UK through eBay International? Called eBay help and they don't have an answer.

·2 years agoThe UK recently implemented new product safety laws and we are seeing a large number of toys and dolls being blocked by eBay International Shipping.

OP2 years agoIf that is the case, then why are they not listed on eBays restricted items list? Also, it is not on the current USPS restricted list.

·2 years agoI do not believe the items are restricted, so USPS would not restrict them. They simply need some sort of extra documentation to clear customs, and I don't think EIS is currently able to supply that documentation. Thus, EIS will not handle the export/import. An individual seller could ship through USPS international to see if an item gets through without issues. There may be a stricter requirement of a large commercial shipper like EIS versus a small shipper who uses the postal service—just like a small seller from China can ship a few counterfeits into the US, whereas a container of counterfeits should (theoretically) not be able to get through customs.
