relisting an unsold item
When I relist an unsold item, it does not appear in NEWLY LISTED, and I want it to. How do I make it appear in NEWLY LISTED without having to re-do the listing using the SELL SIMILAR option with slight changes or completely start fresh?

Wait 3 days before Relisting. I find that will put the NEW listing tag back on it. But keep in mind, that tag only lasts 24 hours.
You do not have to make slight changes using the Sell Similar function but you can if you want. To me I don't think Sellers should have to do all of that busy work just to get their items returned in search. To me it's a form of control or busy work depending on how one wants to look at it.
What they want Sellers to do is use their Promotional features to increase the amount of fees paid on transactions. Since fees are the bulk of their income I understand it but don't appreciate it.

OP1 year agoThe issue is getting my listings to appear at the beginning of search in the category they belong in. If it is a brand new listing, they do go to the top as they should. BUT, when an auction ends with no sale and you click RELIST, it still gets the NEW LISTING box before the item's title, but it doesn't appear at the beginning of the category they belong in. I have found them 20+ search pages into the category. It has something to do with when the item was listed the very FIRST time, as it shows that date. Your advice to wait 3 days to use RELIST had no effect on this issue. I STILL have to select SELL SIMILAR and make slight changes to the listing in order for it to show up at the beginning of search in the category it belongs in, instead of just hitting RELIST. The category I mostly list in has about 50,000 items at any given time, so items tend to get lost if not showing up at the beginning as a NEW LISTING for the best chance of being SEEN and sold!
