You can cancel any bid(s--all bids by that bidder on that auction are removed) up until the auction ends, and may do so for just about any reason (the verboten reasons have to do with schemes to evade eBay fees) including that you don't trust the bidder, reasonably or not (you can also add him/her to your Block Bidder/Buyer List to keep him/her from bidding again--it does not cancel the current bid to do so nor does cancelling put him/her on the BB/BL). Be aware that cancelling any bid by the two top bidders will cause the "current bid" to drop (so do it sooner rather than later if you are going to do so to drop the minumum bid amount for others who are not willing to pay the current amount have time to be able to drive the price back up). On the mixer the price would drop from $850 to $465 with over 4 1/2 days left to run.
