OP2 years agoI am being blocked from bidding by people I never bid to, who say they are NOT blocking me. But I am able to bid on some items and complete the purchase? I would still like to know how to contact Ebay and remove this or what to do say, not thru chat, doesn't address this? The sellers I am trying to bid with say they are not blocking me and I have never tried to bid or buy from them before

Mentor2 years agoHi @car3_1505
It isn’t eBay that is blocking you. Individual sellers are able to block anyone who failed to pay for two or more items within a 12 month period.
eBay may forgive one of your nonpayment strikes if you contact them … but I doubt that eBay will force any seller to unblock you. Blocks are one of the few ways sellers have to protect themselves from non-serious buyers who cost them money and time.
Each strike will remain on your account for a year. You will be able to bid freely again, when only one strike remains on your account. In the meantime, you can still purchase from Buy It Now listings, as well as from sellers who haven’t activated this block.

Which raises the question, have you made any purchases with issue? Are you trying to bid simultaneously on several items from the same seller? Please respond to gnome's request for details ... those questions are not idle curiosity. You haven't provided enough information for anyone to give informed advice.

OP2 years agoI won 2 bids i didn't pay for, with extenuating circumstances. I want to appeal and explain, but following the steps thru the automated assistant doesn't let me do so. The other nine purchases had NO issues. Who can I call?

·2 years agoWhat YOU consider "extenuating" and what eBay considers a valid reason to not pay are likely different things. See here for information on what are valid reasons and instructions on how to appeal:

·2 years agoWhat error message are you getting when you try, or if no error message what circumstances lead you to your conclusion that you are unable to bid: what page are you on, what blanks do you fill and what links do you click, what happens next vs. what did you expect to happen?
