Reimbursement to sellers
If a package is lost by usps carrier, buyer gets a refund, seller not buyer did not buy insurance, the seller does not get paid by eBay for item lost?

MentorAug 13, 2026 at 4:42 PMBuyers have the eBay money back guaranty for their protection so they do not need insurance. If the seller shipped the item through the eBay shipping center the label will have up to $100 of insurance in most cases (some shipping classes have no included insurance). If the item was valued at more than $100 then the seller needs to add additional insurance. The USPS will only pay a claim for a lost package if there was insurance on the package. What class of service did you use for the package and did you purchase your label through the eBay shipping center?
