Registered an ebay account with my actual registered entity and now it says suspended??
I registered an account and was instantly restricted even though its a physical business and I have proof of everything??
I'm so confused how they can simply say "you're banned from ever using ebay until you die" ....
I saved the recording and plan to speak to a lawyer as they said there are zero american support staff anymore and once the system says "perm restricted" no one can help you until the day you die and thats what they said on the phone multiple times.
You're essentially perm banned on ebay without a reason even if you own a company, have an office, proof of everything, and have never done anything wrong on ebay you are out of luck.

OP7 months agoThis has been marked as solved which it isn't.
I've yet to have anyone from Ebay staff that is American or related to Ebay help me on this.
The entire Ebay company has now went 3rd world and there's no one able to help past this.
Please use caution to anyone who reads this in the future!
DO NOT EXPECT EBAY TO TREAT YOU RESPECTFULLY, THEY WILL RUIN YOUR ENTIRE BUSINESS PLANS AND TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE BANNED FOR LIFE WITH ZERO EXPLINATION.
I have no way to operate an entire portion of my company now, they have simply said "banned for life" and I appreciate the comments above but this is not SOLVED I AM STILL UNABLE TO OPERATE ON EBAY.

OP7 months agoSo you're saying Ebay has no employees anymore and they do this to others?
Its just normal to be banned for life on one of the largest platforms online?? Sounds like this should be sent to my state official here in the U.S.
If they do not treat American business owners correctly and outsource all of their work overseas then we should ban them from operating within our country and extorting us.
Thank you, I'll be writing a long letter in regards to this as well speaking with my council to see if legal action can or will be taken.

Mentor7 months ago@h_and_e_ventures_llc I am sorry but it sounds like your eBay selling career ended before it began. Do you possibly have a physical home address where you live that is different than what was provided for the business?

I put my personal address as the company address as this office is in San Francisco and my home is somewhere nearby.
This office is considered commercial, live, work, event, etc.
This is more than an inconvenience as more than half of all deal flow for my specific industries of interest occur on ebay.
They told me on the call specifically " There are no America support staff, You are banned until the day you die and there is no way to appeal it"
That is some of the most insane things I've ever heard from a monopoly the size of Ebay.
Scary to think in the future this will be all automated and if any system says "you're banned for life" there most likely wont be a way to fix it on any of these platforms.
I hope to get an email or some sort of solution as this ones rather disheartening.

Click contact us at the bottom of the page. Next Type Restricted Account in the chat box on the lower right. After the chat bot replies Type AGENT so you that you can request a call back or chat with a live agent.

OP7 months agoEverything is correct based off what you've suggested and when trying to call them they say there is no way to appeal it.
I've never owned an ebay account, this is for my company that I own and have registered to the exact address on file and I'm extremely confused why its impossible to get an employee from Ebay to help me sort this out as professional adults trying to do business together..
Thank you for the reply however I think this will require the attention of Ebay to get sorted so hopefully someone from their side see this post.

First, make sure the registered name on ebay matches exactly to the name on your checking account. You can make any changes here:
My ebay > Summary > Account > Personal information
Make sure you supply a physical street address. You can change to your P.O. box later.

OP7 months agoThey said there's nothing I can change or appeal. I used my company information down to the T on the paperwork and bank information.

OP7 months agoI still don't understand how to get ahold of someone to appeal it even if its correct I dont understand.
The name on the acc is the same as my registered companies entity.
