Refusing a return
Buyer unhappy with item. I offered a partial refund two weeks ago with no response from buyer. How do I close this issue?

Buyer unhappy with item. I offered a partial refund two weeks ago with no response from buyer. How do I close this issue?

Mentor6 months agoThe buyer was not obligated to accept a partial refund. If the buyer filed a Return Request with a valid reason covered by the Ebay Money Back Guarantee, you are required to approve the return request, provide either a prepaid return shipping label so they can return it for a refund or just refund full without requiring that they return it. If you do not cooperate, the buyer can ask Ebay to step in to help them get their refund.

I was thinking that your case had been open longer. The buyer can ask eBay to step in on the 4th business day.
If eBay steps in before the case times out in 30 days then they can force a refund. If eBay forces a refund you do not get your sellers fees back and you get a defect.
The buyer can ask eBay to step in on the 4th business day.
An eBay agent cannot close the case early either.
I agree with @lady_madonna you better accept the return or risk a defect and forced refund. Buyer may be allowed to keep the item too.

OP6 months agoThanks for the advice. Buyer says I did not show a logo on the back of a shirt. False advertising they said. In fact the logo is pictured in more than 40% of the photos. The false advertising comment is what turned me off to taking the item back. I’ll wait and see. Didnt know there was a 30 day waiting period.
