Refurbished seller sent me a phone that was still under contract?
I purchased a phone from a refurbished reseller in October of 2025. 3 months after my purchase my phone stopped working. After discussions with the tech from the business account that manages my phone and discussion with T-Mobile it was determined that my phone was turned off due to non-payment on the personal account where's t-mobile. So it appears I was sold a phone that somebody was responsible for making contract payments. I have informed the seller of this but they have not responded. T-Mobile says they will unlock the phone/ IMEI number as soon as the contract is paid up, but since this is not my contract and was that of the previous owner that does not seem quite Fair. How can I resolve the issue if the seller is not responding to allow me to return it?
