Why is the word "refurbished" anathema in a listing's description?

If a buyer wants something that is brand new, he doesn't want something that is refurbished. Other buyers don't mind a refurbished item if the price is right. It's an individual choice.

The word "refurbished" in a listing description is not anathema.
If the item isn't selling, then buyers either don't want a refurbished item or one at the price you've listed it for or it could be some other reason only the buyer knows.

OP9 months agoThen explain this. It popped up in a red box when I was trying to list a new item.
It looks like you're using language in your listing which indicates that your item is refurbished. This item condition, and the use of similar language, is available only to pre-approved sellers. Firstly, a refurbished item is not considered a new item, so the item condition is not correct. It also sounds like you are not a pre-approved seller for refurbished items. There are many requirements for selling refurbished items.
