Refunds on canceled shipping label?

How long does it take to get a refund on a canceled shipping label? I'm not crazy about how eBay doesn't even tell what the status of the cancelation is. It would be nice to get a notification like, "We are reviewing your request now" or something along those lines.

It isn't Ebay's fault. It is in the hands of the carrier, not Ebay. For USPS labels it can take up to 30 days, but usually just a couple of weeks. They have to be sure the label actually doesn't get used.
