Refunding Buyer when case is active missing package

Question

I sold an item and usps has lost it. I contacted the loss department and notified them. I am trying to refund the buyer but since it is pending by usps it will not let me. Any suggestions?

@jojemo Sorry for the delay in responding, life has been busy.

If the buyer filed a refund request case then you can issue the refund from the case.

If the buyer has not filed a refund request case you can go to the sold item and select send refund from the drop down menu next to the item.
