Refunded Shipping Charges

Question

I purchased a shipping label for two items I sold only to find out that the two separate listings had been combined into a single shipment containing both items. These items were both large and 30 lbs. a piece. They were impractical/impossible to combine into a single shipment so I shipped them separately. I had to pay for the new freight for the two packages out of my pocket. How can I get a refund from ebay for the original shipping charges for the planned single shipment?

If this happens again, purchase your first label based on the weight and size of one of the cartons. Then select Purchase another label from the dropdown next to the order transactions and purchase a second label based on the size and weight of the other carton.
