Refunded item that was not delivered and then it WAS delivered! How to get payment?
Summary: chilldeals35 discussed an issue where they sold an item and refunded the buyer after it appeared undelivered. However, the item was later delivered despite the tracking only showing the initial stages. fashionsandbeauty4u suggested that if an eBay label was used and the refund was processed through an Item Not Received (INR) claim, eBay should reimburse chilldeals35 once delivery is confirmed.
I had sold an item and 5 days later I received a request for refund as they had not received the item. I check the tracking and only saw the creation of the label, check with the post office and they said that I would have to check with lost packages in Atlanta. I refunded the payment on the item, and it was sold for $180.00 and NOW I see that the item was delivered TODAY! The tracking still shows just the initial creation of the label and then the arrival at the destination post office and then delivery. HOW can I get payment for my item?

MentorJul 15, 2026 at 9:08 PMSince you used ebay shipping, and automatically refunded, ebay will credit you back the refunded amount since the tracking now shows Delivered. I do not know if this is automatic or if you have to do anything.

If you used an eBay label and the Buyer opened an INR on eBay and you refunded from that INR, once eBay can see the package was delivered, eBay should reimburse you
