Refund to Ebay gift cards
So I returned an item that I had payed for with Ebay gift cards. I was told the refund would credited to those gift cards but after the 3-5 business day they told me to wait the balance checker still showed all of them having a zero balance. As a test I went in to checkout an item and my gift cards didn't appear anywhere under payments methods, including gift cards. As a last resort I typed in my gift card number and sure enough it did apply to the purchase. So my question is, is the only way to keep track and view your balance by keeping track of it offline? I had this situation once before years ago and as I recall my cards appeared on the checkout page. Why would Ebay do this?

Mentor1 year agoThe last time I was refunded for a purchase made using a gift card, the refund amount appeared as a line item at checkout that could be applied to another purchase by checking a box. No need to enter any gift card numbers.
Perhaps eBay has changed something.
It may also matter whether the entire gift card amount was refunded or just a portion.
