Refund to buyer with funds on hold
Would anyone know if it’s possible for a seller to issue a refund to a buyer with funds placed on hold for the seller?
Scenario: I’m somewhat new to this- I haven’t attached my account for payment to my eBay account. I sold an item but payment was placed on hold due to not yet adding my account. Before adding my account , Buyer requested a return label which was issued. Can or would eBay use my funds on hold for refund?

No, you must fund the refund, then eBay will release the original payment and reverse the fees. If you don’t have a bank account set up yet for your payouts, I assume you have a card on file that you have designated as your preferred payment method for selling costs - the refund will be charged to that card.
