Refund timing
I received an email on 4/8/26 indicating my card would be refunded in 3-5 business days but it hasn't happened. That email isn't monitored so what are my next steps?

Don't email anyone.
Either get a call back or use the social media option
-- How to Have eBay Call You --
There is no incoming phone number for buyers or sellers. If you want a call back from eBay Customer Service, here is how to get a call:
Start at an article close to your question (you can look from here: https://www.ebay.com/help/home)
Scroll to the Bottom of the page similar to your question
1) Click "Contact Us" or the ? then:
In the CHAT WINDOW
2) Type "I need help"
3) Click "Selling" (or your topic)
4) Type "Agent" in the chat window
5) You may need to click "Something Else" or "More Options" or type "Agent" a few more times
6) Click “Have Us Call You” (or "Chat with an Agent")
-- If you use a call filter on your phone, turn it off temporarily, or it might block the incoming call.

OP4 months agoUnfortunately I get stuck in an ai loop and can never get to an agent. I ended up at the same email option, sent another request and got another strange reply.
Thank you for contacting eBay Customer Service regarding the item 'NEW UNLOCKED SAMSUNG GALAXY S20 5G SM-G981U 128GB GRAY UNLOCKED GSM+CDMA' (203549173526). My name is Abinash, and it will be my pleasure to assist you further.
Here are the details I was able to capture from the transaction as of now:
You had received the item which was not unlocked and you had to spend dollars to get it fixed, however when you reached out to the seller they asked you to return the item and purchase the new item, but when you returned the item they are claiming that you need to purchase the item from them.
You would like us to us to help you with the refund as the seller has not issue yet.
Rest assured, I have checked the details of the case thoroughly and I will quickly go ahead to resolve this for you.
First, I would like to appreciate you for proactively reaching out to us and bringing this issue to our utmost attention.
Here is the good news for you, Lynette.
I am so glad to let you know that I have closed the case in your favor successfully and full refund will reflect in your original payment method in no more than 3-5 business days. This decision is taken as I can see that the seller has neither issued refund nor sent the replacement item.
You'll also receive a follow-up email about our decision, along with the case details for reference.
To more about the buyer protection in the scenarios like this in the future: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/money-back-guarantee.html
I am happy that we have got everything fully resolved for you today. Thank you for contacting eBay. Have a wonderful day.
Kind Regards,
Abinash K.

Well, maybe this time you will get your refund. It's possible the other email came from a UK rep who couldn't actually issue the refund?
I would wait the 'new' 3-5 days then file a chargeback on your credit card.

OP4 months agoI doubt it's legit because the seller did send a replacement. It's sitting unopened on my kitchen table because I don't need it. The seller stopped responding to me so I don't know what to do with it. I can't even review the purchase or rate the seller anymore due to the timeframe. I've never seen anything like this before where every single avenue leads nowhere. It's beyond frustrating. I can only image how I would feel if I were in a position where being out this money meant I didn't eat this week. I'll never use eBay again. But thank you for trying to help! You definitely gave me more info than the "help" section lol

If you still need help, tell me what type of case, and what the status says.

OP4 months agoMy case status is closed because the seller sent a replacement instead of refunding my money. The seller stopped replying so I emailed customer service. This is the email I got:

That's odd, you are in the US, why is he replying about British Pound Sterling? £221.42 ?
What email did you send a message to?

OP4 months agoI think I just sent it from the website. That reply came from customerhelp@ebay.com. I thought it sounded weird too, especially the pounds instead of dollars. Do you know where I should be emailing for assistance? I'd appreciate any guidance I can get. This has been dragging on for 2 months and I'm out almost $300. Thank you!
