Refund situation
somehow i mixed up these 2 shipping orders. One order spent 43 and the other spent 185. I sent the 185 items to the 43 and the 43 to 185. 43 requested refund for wrong items (provided pictures) and i paid for the return label. However I’m worried the 43 changed their mind and is either going to keep the cards worth 200 or re-sell. They won’t respond, and the buyer who is expecting those cards is eager to get updates - obviously. I already gave 43 the return label.. but I’m getting no response or updates on tracking. It’s been 2 weeks. How is it fair i gotta deal with my mistake - make steps to rectify - only to be made an idiot again by this person possibly changing their mind. Even if i made the mistake and shipped the wrong cards to 43.. that has to be.. illegal at that point? It’s like intending to pay then putting the item in your pocket And leaving the store (and this analogy becomes correct once i paid for the return label). eBay is impossible to get a human response from on this situation. I was wondering if anybody dealt with this before and if they could give me advice - besides pay more attention next time. I will not just sit and wait for someone who’s clearly ghosting.

Well, because it was your mistake but you are doing the right thing. You cannot help that the one Buyer is not cooperating.
I swapped labels before and I messaged both Buyers and told them send the item back to me and I would refund their out of pocket label cost on their original transaction. Once I got the items back, I inspected them then paid for another label through eBay and shipped the items to their rightful owners.
At a certain point you will have to apologize and refund the one Buyer who you do not have their item for them because the other Buyer did not return it.
It is a hard lesson to learn but I suspect you will not make that mistake again.
