Refund request from buyer

Question

Buyer has requested refund for item not received. I get that okay; but item has been shipped and scanned for delivery but it’s lost. Sounds like the refund comes out of my acct but the. I’m also out the item ? So I lose money on refund and lose the items due to shipping lost error ? Is that how it works I’m just out of luck thanks

Yes, the refund comes from the seller.

But, the seller can open a claim with the carrier for a lost package after they refund.

Also, be aware that eBay should reimburse the seller for any INR refund if the item ends up being delivered. (if the seller used ebay labels to ship)
