refund request 75 days after shipped. They never received item
Do you need to refund a buyer who asks for a refund 75 after the item was shipped. They say it was not received. When I check the tracking with USPS it shows it was in transit to another facility on April 28th (shipped on APril 16th).\\Now I am out of the 60 day window with USPS for an insurance claim. It was a $70 item and If the buyer let me know sooner I could have had a refund for both of us through USPS.
DO I still need to refund as per ebay? please advise.

OP2 years agoI got an message from ebay with saying that a buyer open an item not received refund request and please respolve by July 9th. everything in their message says to upload tracking (which has been uploaded since April 16th). it says if you cant fulfill the order please ssue refund.
The message from the buyer just said that the item was never received and they were forced to purchase another from someone else. When I check the tracking it doesnt say it was delived
I am thinking that I do not have to refund do to it being outside the window of the USPS so I cant get an insurance claim and outside the ebay window

If you received that message from eBay then yes you DO have to issue a refund by July 9th since you cannot prove that the item was delivered.
You inability to file a claim with USPS has no bearing on the buyer being able to file a refund request through eBay's money back guarantee.

The buyer can only file an Ebay Refund Request within 30 days from the latest estimated date of delivery.
Did the buyer file a request or send you a message?
