Refund process has an error what to do?
fradulent seller selling replica gold as real gold.
i bought 2 coins from a fraudulent seller, who don’t want to refund my money.
i rejected the pack and have tracking proof it was returned to the original sender. The eBay refund process think the pack got delivered to me…. In error. So I don’t need a return label for the item and there’s no way I can escalate it to ask eBay and step in on the process which seem stuck.
i tried to contact eBay but only way is they will call me and even my number is correct and has nothing blocking incoming calls I just get an eBay mail my call didn’t go through.
newbie? Nah I’ve been here 25 years and bought and sold 1000’s of items.
This one is especially tough to solve though. Anyone has a way to chat to eBay or a phone number I can try?

You say you "rejected the pack". How exactly?
If you refused the delivery -- on what basis would you do that? -- you would forfeit your money back guarantee.

If that is what happened you may still have recourse through your payment method, but not through eBay.

OP11 months agoWell I looked closely at the pictures in auction and it became clear that it was NOT real gold as listed. Seller already sent the pack, so I had the post return it to the seller which tracking clearly show. I didn’t receive anything.
But apparently that wasn’t the best way to resolve this and I haven’t returned an item for years and years so I didn’t know it at the time - and that it would mess up the automated process.
however seller got both the items and my money. Seller also admitted items wasn’t what they were described as.
so I need to know how to reboot this process, as I can’t imagine in 2025 and error of rejecting a pack will make me lose my money?

Mentor11 months agoUnfortunately since you did not follow the correct process eBay can no longer help you. You need to go back to your funding source and ask about a charge back.
