refund or item i paid for
i order an item and the seller sent me the wrong color. his posted item has a different color and seller refused to fix the problem......ebay has been looking into this since December 2024 leading me with false promises to help. i want a refund or a new item in the right color.

You apparently didn't file a 'return request'. Otherwise you wouldn't be thinking eBay has been "looking into this since December 2024".
It's currently too late to file a claim with eBay ... and with PayPal as well (if you used them to pay). Hopefully, you funded your payment with a credit card so that you can phone your CC company to request a chargeback. Do it IMMEDIATELY because not all banks allow a generous amount of time for requesting a refund.

When you open a return request for "item not as described" or "wrong item sent" you usually have about 2 weeks to return it to a seller for a full refund.
eBay doesn't "look into things" for three months.
I think we need more details about what is actually happening.
