Refund on item that was not what was advertised

Question

I bought a large item that was collection only. I paid through eBay and arranged with seller to collect. When I got there the item I was shown was a different type model and colour to what was advertised and photographed.

The seller agreed to a refund and I canceled the transaction. The seller contacted me this morning saying he had confirmed the cancellation but it's still not showing up on eBay and I'm getting worried I may lose my money.

When you go to your Purchase history, and located the item, does it show it has been cancelled? If so, refunds go back to the original funding source. If that was a credit card, it can take up to one billing cycle for the refund to show up.
