Refund of shipping label
I recently sold my first item and did not correctly determine the shipping cost. I prepaid for a label. Once it was printed, I quickly realized it was not enough to cover shipping. I went to my local post office where they confirmed that the shipping fee was significantly more than I posted and prepaid. So, she voided it and said that I should receive a credit, because the USPS voided the label. The buyer still wanted the item, so we figured out the new shipping cost and got the item sold and shipped. But, the original amount that I paid was not credited back to me. Is this just my back luck because of my lack of experience on shipping with Ebay? I understand it now, but was semi hopeful that I might get that money back since it was voided by USPS and not actually used to ship anything.

Mentor2 years ago@beckmcmanu18 I have never heard of a counter agent voiding a label before.
You can and SHOULD go ahead and void the label in your account.
You can void the label within 5 days of purchasing it from the actions drop down menu next to the label on this page>
https://www.ebay.com/ship/labels/seller-hub
Then the postal service will refund you in about 3-4 weeks on your all transactions page here>

I recommend using buyer pays > calculated shipping on your listings. Enter the package weight and size when you list then the buyer is charged the correct shipping amount. Verify the package weight and size before you buy the label on the label form.
