Refund of Sales Tax on damaged purchase
I had my first experience with having an item I package carefully and sent to a buyer damaged in shipping. I have filed an insurance claim with USPS for the damaged goods. The buyer has been great to work with in assisting with filing the claim. I have refunded the full purchase price of the item and the full shipping cost to the buyer.
My question is, will Ebay refund the sales tax to the buyer if I have issued a full refund? And if so, is this done automatically, or do I need ti submit some sort of service request to Ebay?
Assistance would be greatly appreciated - thank you!

Mentor2 years ago@sejohnson eBay automatically refunds the sales tax. This is not something you need to worry about. They even do this on partial refunds for shipping etc.
