Refund issued by eBay, do I return the item?

I was issued a refund by eBay due to the item not being as described, but haven't gotten information as to whether or not to ship back to seller. Where do I find out if I need to ship back or not?

If eBay refunded your payment, your return is closed and you can not access a return label. The seller may not know this.

Send the seller a message that if he wants the item returned, he needs to provide a return label. You can set a deadline, like - if you don't send a label by 4/21, I will assume you do not want the item returned and will donate it/recycle it, etc.
