Hello, I need assistance with a refund that eBay shows as completed, but I never received.

The item was returned and eBay shows that the full refund was issued to Visa ending in 5847. However, that card/account had already been closed, and the US$1,856.48 was never received.
I have already contacted the seller, but the seller states that the refund was successfully processed and refers me back to eBay.
I need eBay to trace the refund and provide the ARN (Acquirer Reference Number) or payment processor reference number so the card issuer can locate the funds.
If the refund was rejected or returned because the original account was closed, please advise how the US$1,856.48 can be reissued through an alternative method.
I have also attempted to contact Customer Service through eBay Help, but the automated assistant repeatedly returns a “technical difficulties” error.

Your credit card company should have the money, even though your account was closed.
