Refund from terminated account.
Ebay terminated my account that i had just recently created and I had already bought an item that never arrived to me. I have contacted the seller from a second account i've created and they've stated that they issued an refund, but I don't see the refund. The issue is the terminated account is what i purchased the item under so how is it possible for me to receive a refund or be sure they can still send the refund? I can't call an ebay rep as i live outside of the US and trying to reach by chat is tedious. How do i resolve this issue?

Mentor2 years agoRefunds are credited to the original payment source. Did you get confirmation from ebay that a refund was made? If not, it wasn't. If so, and you used a credit/debit card it can take additional days/weeks depending on your card companies processing time.

OP2 years agoHow would i get the confirmation? Ebay terminated my original account that i purchase the item under. I only have the word of the vendor the money was returned, but it was 4 business days ago. I assume it would at least show on paypal since i purchased the item through that payment source.

The refund would have been returned to your original payment source ... like a credit or debit card ... which doesn't require an eBay account in order to access it. Have you checked with your card company to see if it is pending?

OP2 years agoI paid using paypal, but when i check my paypal account, I don't see where it was issued. I was told to wait 3 business days, but i would assume paypal would show the refund first and then it would show up on my bank account later. I will call my bank tomorrow to see if anything came through.
