Refund for item never sent as required pick up

Question

What happens if a seller refuses to cancel an order? I paid for an item and then immediately realized it was for pick up only. There is no option for shipping. Within 3 seconds, I cancelled the order but the buyer claims he now has to pay $50 for the refund and will lose all potential buyers who have item in basket. The seller refuses to cancel the order so far. But he still has 2 days to do so. If I never receive/pick up the item, will ebay refund my payment?

@felmor_2454 Buyers can only request to cancel, a seller can accept, decline, or ignore the request.

Always look at listings carefully to see how you will receive an item.

You can file a not received refund request 7 days after the date of purchase.

4 business days after filing the refund request ask eBay to step in and help from the case if the seller has not refunded you.

Do NOT share the pick up code with the seller as that is their proof of delivery.

The seller will get their fees back as long as they refund willingly before eBay steps in and forces a refund.
