Refund for item damaged during shipping
The buyer for my item says the item was damaged during shipping and wants a refund. I had insurance on the package and have filed a claim through ebay. The claim text says to have the buyer hold on to the item and validate the damage. He wants to return it immediately and the refund resolution center wants a response by today.
Should I wait for the insurance claim processing or what should I do?

If you do not want the damaged item returned, refund the buyer now. Ask the buyer to save the package as a courtesy.
You should get refunded from insurance.
If you do want the damaged item back, send a return label through the case. This may void your insurance claim though.
