Refund for an item I never received over 30 days
Keep in mind it’s an online item to a game named Roblox, I had bought it because it’s a friends birthday soon and I wanted to get them this item because they’ve expressed how much they wanted it more than anything. Continuing, I don’t know what to do. The seller first kept saying that they were having problems with eBay and would get back to me when it was fixed and I believed them because I wanted this a lot. I asked for a refund like 6 days before the 30 day mark, they told me to submit one and even when I did, they never accepted it. I followed the instructions that eBay Help said I should do, and I couldn't open another refund after I did. I asked the seller to give me one instead, since I know that sellers can offer them to you, and they didn't answer that and instead asked me to send a request even though it’s now been over 30 days. I asked them again to give me one instead since I can’t, and now I’m waiting since it takes me 2-3 days to even answer me once. I want to try and dispute with my card supporter thing, but I’m scared because it says that if it’s over 60 days since my transaction, than it might not work and my account could be closed for faulty reasons.

Mentor4 months agoYou only had 30 days to file an Item Not Received. If no response from the seller, you would go back to the case and click Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.
Most credit card issuers will help with a chargeback if you contact them before 180 days have passed.

OP4 months agoThat’s the problem, the case is closed and I can’t make another one. I had opened the case, the seller never responded to it or my messages of accepting it so I could get my money back. I had been in the Help section of eBay support and saw that I should find the tracking number for it, and like and idiot, I closed the case and tried to see the tracking details on it since if I didn’t close the case, I couldn’t see it. For obvious reasons, there was no tracking information because it’s not an actual real item. I tried to reopen a refund, but I couldn’t because it kept saying that there was “already a case open” even though I had already close it. By the time an automated message told me that the case had been confirmed to be closed, it was already 30 days after and the “Ask eBay to step in” option can’t be applied. I messaged the seller about trying to offer me a refund instead, but like I said, it takes 2-3 days the least to answer me.
I’ll try the card chargeback option, but I’m nervous since it said itself that it should be done 60 days after purchasing an item. I use CashApp to buy most things, and I did for this purchase as well.
