Refund Fee Help
Im having a really hard time here, Im a seller and after a buyer bought my item we actually want to meet up for drop off, so I cant ship the item, So i want to cancel the item but I have to pay the $500+ Fee that i cant afford, I haven't gotten any money from this sale since it hasn't shipped yet. What Can i do Im in a place I don't know

Mentor1 year ago@coresanche_0 I understand that "floating" that large of a refund might be an issue. This is why I use a credit card for the refund "float". This is not a Fee, that's the refund to the buyer.

Refunds, even for order cancellations, come out of your available funds not pending or held. If you do not have available funds then eBay charges your back up payment method for selling costs. The buyers payment can't just be reversed as it's processing.
Have you entered your backup payment method for selling costs here: https://ppcapp.ebay.com/myppc/wallet/list Select Manage under the method you want to use then select Preferred for selling costs. I use a credit card.
Once you issue the refund and the buyers funds are released from being held or finish processing then the buyers payment is released to you.
