Refund done & payment I owe
I purchased toothpaste from a new seller. The toothpaste was expired and I requested a refund. The seller refunded me and said to not return the item. I ended up keeping the toothpaste and want to pay the seller. Ebay said to contact the seller, I did that first to let them know I want to pay $20.08. Neither of us know how to correct the refund. What is the next step to pay the seller?

I don't understand why would you want to pay the seller for an expired product that should never have been listed for sale and that you shouldn't use.
There is no way to reverse the refund or pay the seller through eBay. You would have to pay the seller outside of eBay (through PayPal for example).

OP8 months agoThank you for responding to my question. I wouldn't normally keep an expired item but my husband didnt care and is using the toothpaste so I want to pay the seller. I believe it was an honest mistake on the sellers end. He/she prob bought items in bulk at an aution and refunded me immediately after seeing the pics I sent of the expiration tab being removed from the end of the tube. The tube was unopened.
Thank you for your helpful answer plus this may help someone else.
Sincerely appreciate your answer!
