REfund confusion!!
WHY does eBay act as if I owe the money on a refund they never paid to me. I keep hitting the return funds button for the buyer and I get a promt to render my credit card!!! I'm not paying [removed by moderator]!!!! [Removed by moderator] eBay anyway, trying to lump this on me??!! I mean, [removed by moderator]!!!!

You must fund the full refund. Then eBay will release the original payment and reverse the fees eligible for credit. No one likes it, but it is how refunds work for all of us. You cannot let eBay charge the checking account you provided for your payouts, if you don’t want to add a credit card.
If the buyer has to ask eBay to step in, and eBay has to force the refund from your checking account, you will have an unresolved case on your record, which is not a good way to start selling.
