Refund after 30 days for DEFECTIVE item

Question

I could not try the item within the 30 days deadline because of a medical problem requiring back surgery. The item is DEFECTIVE.

I have tried to start the return request but no reply in 2 days from seller.

What are my options to contact ebay to get refund under ebay guarantee since the item is defective

ebay's Money Back Guarantee expires 30 days after receipt of the item.

Go to My ebay > Purchase History

Locate the item. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. You will need to click on More to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. ebay sends you a link to print out the label. Print out the label, affix it to the box, and have the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund you within 2 days. If no refund, go back to the case and click on Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.

If it has been more than 30 days since receipt of the item, file a Returns Request with Paypal if that is how you paid. Paypal accepts cases within 180 days from the transaction. As a last resort, contact your credit card issuer if that is how you paid.
