Refund a buyer who made a mistake
A buyer in Texas bought a water heater from the seller for $150. Buyer then realized the seller lived in California and listed the item for pickup (no shipping). Buyer requested a refund from the seller through eBay messaging. Seller agreed, but had never processed a return, so seller contacted eBay by phone and eBay representative told the seller to simply go online and cancel the order. Seller cancelled the order in early October, but eBay had deposited approximately $128 into seller's banking account for the sale of the water heater ($150 - eBay fees). Seller's October 2023 eBay statement suggests the buyer has still not received a refund. What does the seller have to do to refund the buyer? Does seller refund the $128 he received and eBay refund the fees so the buyer receives a total refund of $150)?
