Refund
I returned an item. It shows that the item was delivered to the seller on Jan 10th so the refund should have come in by the 12th. I guess, but now it's the 14th and I haven't gotten my refund so I escalated the issue with eBay on the 12th. The seller excepted the return. Whats going on with my refund and why is it taking this long? Why did I need to escalate when all parties have agreed? I'm confused.

Your item was delivered on the 12th and a seller has 2 days to issue a refund. Today is the second day and if there is no indication of a refund being processed, tomorrow go to the dispute Returns in your purchase history open it and click on the ask ebay to step in button.

How did you pay for the item, did you use a credit or debit card
If you paid with a debit card the funds will be sent to your bank account associated with the card. your bank may place a hold on the funds for a few days until they verify the transfer, because you have not received funds from that source before.
If you paid with a credit card the credit may not show up on your card's statement for up to 30 days. However, if you call the number on the back of the card they may be able to tell you if a credit is being processed.
