Refund
If I want to give a customer a partial refund for an item he has already paid, can I just include the money when I send him the purchased item?

·11 months agoI would strongly recommend keeping any refunds within the eBay payment system. Just go to the order details and choose Send Refund from the dropdown menu. You can choose any amount you like to refund, and eBay will provide a prorated refund to you of the fees you paid during that process, reducing the actual amount taken out of your funds.
If you just include some form of payment in the package, and then the buyer files a return request, you will end up providing a full refund with no adjustment for whatever you refunded them outside of eBay’s system, so it could result in you taking a loss.
