Refund

Question

I purchased an item, cancelled the purchase, the item was never sent. The seller has not responded to my request for refund. I started a return hoping he would refund me, now eBay is asking for me to ship it back. I never received it, it was never shipped. I cannot get through to a person for help.

Buyers can only REQUEST to cancel a transaction. Only the seller can file a Cancellation, and sellers are not obligated to do so. You should have filed an Item Not Received case when it was past the last estimated delivery date. It appears you filed a Returns Request, which is the wrong case to file since you have nothing to return.

I suggest contacting ebay Customer Service and see if they can change the case from a Returns Request to an Item Not Received case.
