Refund
I participated in an ebay auction and bought 2 items. The seller never sent the products ordered. I spent nearly $3,000 dollars and was sent a $3 bubble gum card that I had to sign for first before opening. When I realized it wasn't what I purchased, I immediately took a photo. This all took place at the post-office in front of the postal worker. I sent the pictures to the seller, stating what happened. They admitted to the mistake and reassured me they would figure it out and fix it. Shortly after, they stopped contact with me. I notified Ebay of the situation and they looked into it. I was sent an email from Ebay stating the seller was untrustworthy and not to have further contact and to change all passwords.
I was told in another email, I would get a full refund. Then Ebay tried to say i signed for both packages and refused refund and closed the claim. I told them to look at the pictures i sent proveing what i signed for. Then someone else emailed saying that now I would have one week to file a police report and get all information back to Ebay or the claim would be rejected.
At this point I was tired that Ebay kept going back on their word and changing what they earlier said, so I filled a claim with visa. Again I was reassured not to worry and would get a full refund.
Shortly after, a close friend broke his neck and I went out of state to visit. During this time Ebay told visa I signed for the packages and sent them a photo of my signature. Visa sent me a letter via snail mail wanting a response from me. I had no idea and didn't get the letter in time and was denied again.
Since then, I have gotten a written statement from the postal worker verifying the authentication of the time stamp and date on the photo that directly coincides with the time and date of the signature Ebay has on file.
So to summarize this up, Ebay knows the seller to be a fraud and is ignoring my evidence to refuse my claim. How should I proceed next?
