Refun won’t go through

Question

A buyer put the wrong shipping address on the label but didn’t tell me until it was already created so I need to refund them but it is saying I have insufficient funds even the it is set to buyer pays for shipping. Is there a better way to go about this and how do I fix it?

You must fund the full refund, then eBay will release the payment and reverse the fees that are eligible for credit. You need to also request cancellation of the shipping label - that refund takes about 3 weeks.

You can add a credit card to your wallet, then mark that card as preferred for paying selling costs. Then the refund will be charged to your card. https://ppcapp.ebay.com/myppc/wallet/list

Or you can mark your checking account as preferred for selling costs and the refund would then be charged to your bank account.

Here's how to cancel a shipping label you printed on eBay:

Go to Shipping Labels in Seller Hub or Manage shipping labels in My eBay.
Find the item you'd like to cancel the shipping label for, then from the Actions column, select Cancel Label.
Choose your reason for canceling the label.
Select Send request.
