Best way to ship vinyl 45 records

-If the have a sleeve take them OUT of the sleeve first. The record and ship around inside the sleeve and rip it open and collectors hate that.

-Shipping in a box is the best BUT it would have to be a very thin box and unless you can buy some in bulk they are hard to make.

-You might get away with either folding over some stiff cardboard and sealing on 3 sides with take or taking two pieces of of that same board and taping all 4 sides. You could then take that put it in a bubble mailer of appropriate size. This approach could offer you some protection.

-If you use Media Mail here's the rub. Most Buyers have to pay Sales tax on the shipping and YOU are charged a fee on that total. Plus you do NOT get a discount shipping Media Mail when you print your labels through eBay ... you pay the same amount the Buyer pays unless you jack the weight up, but either way you stand to lose money on the shipping end using Media Mail. If a record has a higher value then consider offering USPS Ground Advantage which has $ 100 built-in insurance and you can add more if needed for a price.

-You need to take a hard look at your price structure and how you plan to ship to make it worth your while for the amount of time you will invest packing and shipping that type of product. You may find that unless you can sell one for "X" amount it isn't worth your time OR you sell them in lots.

I would use a box. I think there are cardboard mailers available that would not bend.
