Recently viewed items I never viewed
eBay has sent me several messages about items I never viewed, & have absolutely no interest in. I don’t understand why this has suddenly happened. How concerned should I be, & what can be done to stop these messages? I don’t believe my account has been hacked but I could not get any answer from eBay— impossible to speak to human. Please let me know the best way to stop these messages. Thanks!

Most likely there is a problem with a routine that is supposed to match up viewed items with generated messages rather than a security issue.

OP3 years agothanks for responding. I haven’t seen any evidence of my account being hacked. Still, it’s pretty weird having them show you items you’d never be interested in.
I’ve bought on eBay for years & this never happened before. It’s impossible to get any answer from eBay. I considered deleting my account altogether as a last resort. Getting messages like that sets off red flags.
I really appreciate that you responded. Better answer than I got from eBay itself.
