Receiving payment

Question

First time seller and I do not use the provided shipping label. Which ended up costing me $35 ( most of my profit). Will I still recieve my payment or will it show not shipped?

You will need to add the tracking number to the sold item detail. If you do not do this you will get a defect on your account and will not be paid for 30 days. Also, as a new seller eBay can hold the funds for up to 30 days even with tracking information being provided.

1) Here's how to cancel (or void) an unused shipping label you purchased on eBay:

- Go to Manage shipping labels: https://www.ebay.com/ship/labels/my-ebay

- Find the item you'd like to cancel the shipping label for, then from the Actions column, select CANCEL.

- Choose your reason for canceling the label.

- Select Cancel shipping label.

You have 28 days to cancel a label. The refund will come about 21 days after you cancel.

2) Then

-- You should add the tracking number that was used when you shipped your item so you have eBay seller protection, and can get paid.

The tracking number will be printed on the receipt (USPS tracking number is usually a 22-digit number)

- Go to the Sold section of My eBay. https://www.ebay.com/mys/sold

- From More actions, select Add tracking number.

- Add, edit or delete the tracking number and the carrier.

- Select Submit.
